  ## Upstream vs downstream

Before RHEL 9 was released we had to use an estimate for this. Now that we know the exact date of the end of the RHEL 9 "full support" phase, we can just use it directly.

I have a couple of concerns.
- We must keep a link to the RHEL support phases documentation, it's important that we link to where the date is derived from because this is not a date chosen directly by the Project
- We also must make it clear that the documentation is the source of truth. I don't expect this to happen, but if the RHEL support phase is extended we would match any new date documented on that page

I have a couple of ideas that we can chat about for making this more clear.

Rebased on main and updated to link to the RHEL phases for all the EOL dates.

Users sometimes find the current phrasing of the CentOS Stream 9 EOL confusing (https://www.reddit.com/r/CentOS/comments/16e8pyl/confusing_download_of_centos/).

This change looks like it will be more clear to readers.
